About The Position

This is a full-time Manager, Rehabilitation position at Lexington Medical Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization, meeting budgetary expectations, and leading staff development. The position also includes providing patient care assessment and treatment, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with all standards. The manager will also promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers. The role requires providing appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines and maintaining competence related to age/developmentally specific patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical or occupational therapy program.
  • Current licensure in the state of applicable state.
  • CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.

  • Contributing to the overall quality of services.
  • Assuming responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures.
  • Manages daily operations and ensures efficient utilization of resources to meet customer needs as well as budgetary expectations.
  • Works cooperatively with other managers/CD to assist with the operation of the Physical/Occupational Therapy department.
  • Understands the budgeted expectation and uses all reasonable resources to achieve.
  • Manages and facilitates growth of staff.
  • Hires, supervises, and evaluates staff.
  • Completes and submits 100% of performance evaluations by the due date.
  • Manages and improves processes to optimize quality and efficiency of services.
  • Leads the development of evidence-based guidelines and guides the systematic collection and reporting of quality outcome measures to advance the quality of care provided.
  • Provides patient care assessment and treatment.
  • Provides sound professional judgment in interpreting the evaluation results and establishing an acceptable treatment plan with realistic goals.
  • Maintains accurate documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with all internal and external professional and regulatory agency standards.
  • Promotes professional development and education of other health care workers and provides committee representation.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Informs Clinical Director of issues and resolutions to potential problems.
  • Communicates in a professional and timely manner with patients, physicians, staff, and all external customers.
  • Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
  • Demonstrates age/developmentally specific knowledge, skills, and abilities for the patients served.
  • Utilizes knowledge of age/developmentally specific data when assessing patients.
  • Interprets age/developmentally specific response to treatment/activity accurately.
  • Maintains competence related to age/developmentally specific patient care by regularly updating knowledge of growth and development and the aging process.
