The Position focuses on managing the Reagent and Health Performance (RHP) team, overseeing headcount, budget, and logistics to ensure product robustness and sustainability. The role drives the seamless transition of complex assays across their entire lifecycle by setting high standards for efficiency. The Opportunity involves team development through hiring, training, mentoring, and developing team members to support career growth and team success. It also includes technical leadership in managing the commercialization of new products, post-launch monitoring, risk evaluation, designing fit-for-purpose testing, and driving failure investigations. Program management ensures milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met for development and on-market support projects. SAFe Agile Execution involves serving as a Product Owner in a SAFe Agile environment to drive team execution and priorities. Stakeholder Engagement requires cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment with company objectives and project commitments, with an emphasis on translating complex technical data into actionable insights. A Collaborative Focus is essential to foster an open, innovative, and collaborative environment during process and assay development. Operational Excellence includes refining team procedures, maintaining laboratories and equipment, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and Roche standards. Strategic Oversight involves actively exploring new methodologies, processes, and ways of working to improve reagent quality and overall efficiencies. Leadership Participation includes actively contributing to the ACT and OAD Leadership Team and other strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS with 8+ years, MS with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in relevant scientific disciplines (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in scientific research and product development.
  • 1+ years of direct management and/or project management experience.
  • Deep understanding of principles in chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present complex information clearly.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in developing, implementing, and supporting reagent-based products in FDA/IVDR regulated environments.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to effectively motivate, guide, and manage within both matrixed and direct-line environments.

  • Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies is highly valued.

Responsibilities
