About the position

The Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Boston Harbor Now (BHN) is responsible for securing financial resources from corporations and foundations to support the organization's mission and strategic initiatives. This role involves managing donor relationships, overseeing grant proposals, and collaborating with senior leadership to meet fundraising goals. The position is critical for expanding BHN's philanthropic efforts and ensuring the organization's stability and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of consultant grant writers and assign tasks for proposal development.
  • Ensure timely submission of all proposals and grant reports.
  • Identify new institutional donors aligned with BHN's mission and develop engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to strengthen corporate and foundation partnerships.
  • Participate in donor meetings to solicit funds from corporations and foundations.
  • Work with the Manager of Special Events to identify and solicit corporate sponsorships.
  • Partner with the Development Coordinator to track grant prospect and solicitation data in Salesforce.
  • Oversee the monthly financial reconciliation process with the Finance Team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate gift acknowledgments for corporate and foundation donors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of fundraising experience in non-profit organizations, focusing on corporate and foundation donors.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with Salesforce or similar donor database technology.
  • High-level communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with philanthropic partners.
  • Proven track record of securing 5 & 6+ figure investments and meeting fundraising goals.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and donor relationships concurrently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of environmental justice and community engagement strategies.
