About the position

The Manager of Multicultural Programs and Services at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is responsible for leading and overseeing multicultural programs and international student services. This role aims to support the academic, social, cultural, and emotional development of historically underrepresented and underserved student populations. The manager will foster an inclusive campus community, implement programs that promote diversity and equity, and collaborate with various campus units to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multicultural and international student programs that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Provide academic and personal support to students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse community organizations and leaders.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of institutional policies related to diversity and inclusion.
• Develop and manage a high-performing team focused on delivering quality services.
• Manage the budget for Multicultural and International Student Services and seek additional funding opportunities.
• Develop assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of multicultural programs and services.
• Establish and maintain positive work relationships with staff, faculty, and administrators.
• Provide support during incidents of bias, discrimination, or cultural conflict.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years of experience related to program development and oversight.
• Three years of supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related discipline.
