About the position

The Manager of Manufacturing Product Management at McCrometer, a Veralto company, is responsible for overseeing a team of product managers to drive growth and profitability through the effective development of new products and features. This role involves understanding customer needs, managing product portfolios, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful product launches and market competitiveness. The position is based in Hemet, CA, with options for remote work along the Pacific Coast.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a high-functioning product management team.
  • Inform the product development roadmap and product definitions; develop and validate business cases for new product opportunities.
  • Participate in overall product strategy, product planning, and R&D requirements for new and emerging products.
  • Oversee a product portfolio and drive results, including revenue, pricing, and profitability.
  • Use market research to assess market and customer dynamics and collaborate with Strategic Marketing and R&D.
  • Identify and manage pricing strategies based on customer value and competitive analysis.
  • Perform regular competitive analysis to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Rationalize solution offerings through map/gap analysis against current offerings and market opportunities.
  • Create, execute, and analyze Voice of Customer (VoC) plans linking customer needs to product lines.
  • Lead the development of value-selling approaches and train the sales team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field.
  • 7 to 10+ years of manufactured product management experience, focusing on hardware or industrial products.
  • Experience gaining customer insights to identify and size market needs.
  • Experience in creating new product design specifications.
  • Ability to conduct data analytics and make recommendations based on data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and common business productivity tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of municipal drinking/wastewater and/or industrial market.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective personal and project team time management skills.
