About the position

The Nevada Crisis Manager II Behavioral Health Services is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Nevada crisis line. This position will work in a Hybrid model (both remote and in office). The role serves as a mentor to lower leveled managers and as a subject matter expert for other areas of the company and within the department. The Manager will work closely with the Director who oversees day-to-day operations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and recommends revisions to policies/procedures, and SOPs.
  • Ensure staff adheres to accreditation guidelines and supports quality improvement activities.
  • May attend meetings with the state and other agencies to collaborate around ongoing development of the crisis system of care.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
  • Manages a team of licensed clinicians and non-clinical support staff responsible for telephonic, text/chat crisis intervention, crisis screening and assessments, and connecting callers to local services.
  • Supports quality improvement by monitoring and identifying new business processes, recommending revisions to policies/procedures, and providing quality control to ensure adherence to appropriate policy, best practices, relevant clinical standards and contracts for an inbound and outbound 24/7 call center managing Behavioral Health Services.
  • Manages case consultation and education to customers and internal associates of effective utilization of Behavioral Health services and leads development and maintenance of positive relationships with clients and providers.

Requirements

  • Requires current, active, unrestricted Nevada license such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LBA, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in applicable states or territory of the United States.
  • Prior experience in Managed Care setting required.
  • MS in social work, counseling, psychology or related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing and minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and prior EAP or crisis experience, which includes a minimum of 2 years prior management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in Crisis Work and call center environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience applying clinical and policy knowledge on the continuum of Behavioral Health treatment strongly preferred.
