About the position

The Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy (CD&S) at Cheniere Energy, Inc. is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the company's corporate strategy. This role involves building complex financial models, analyzing industry trends, and advising management on strategic initiatives. The Manager will also engage with stakeholders and oversee various projects and transactions to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions and business ventures.
  • Develop comprehensive memoranda, presentations, and reports for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate and conduct due diligence on growth opportunities, including asset acquisitions and new business initiatives.
  • Assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities in gas and power sectors, communicating business rationales.
  • Support strategic management of power generation and natural gas infrastructure in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage and structure commercial/legal arrangements with internal and external groups.
  • Optimize business development files and maintain internal tools for tracking deal activities.
  • Develop scenario analysis and contingency plans to guide the company's strategic direction.
  • Coordinate strategic development plans across various functions within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as math, statistics, economics, finance, or business.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in the natural gas and/or power sectors, or 5+ years in Private Equity.
  • Strong background in analytical and quantitative thinking, advanced financial modeling, and project management.
  • Experience in private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance with a focus on M&A and deal execution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the global energy industry, particularly LNG and power markets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate Degree preferred.
  • Experience with ERCOT market dynamics and conventional power asset operations.
