About the position

The Business Group Contracts Manager at HII's Mission Technologies division is responsible for overseeing contract administration and supporting business growth within the Unmanned Systems Business Group. This senior-level role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in US Government and international commercial contracts, providing strategic leadership and managing a portfolio of contracts in a fast-paced technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the contractual business advisor and subject matter expert to all levels of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, including reporting requirements.
  • Work with alternative contract types such as OTAs, CRADAs, Teaming Agreements, and NDAs.
  • Negotiate, manage, and supervise all stages of contract administration for various contracts.
  • Ensure compliance of contracts, proposals, and work products with HII policies and processes.
  • Support proposal development by analyzing RFPs and determining contractual requirements and risks.
  • Manage, mentor, and train personnel within the Contracts Group.
  • Communicate effectively within the team, the company, and with customers.

Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 6 years with a Master's; or 12 years with a High School Diploma.
  • Leadership experience in contract management.
  • Experience with Federal Government contracts is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 15+ years of Contract Management experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of government proposal experience preferred.
  • International Contracting experience.
  • Certified Purchasing and/or Certified Estimating experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with Unison CLM and Costpoint is beneficial.
