About the position

The Manager Ambulatory Oncology Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing the organization and direction of patient care in offsite oncology clinics within the Physician Network system. This role involves ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct patient care in offsite oncology clinics.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with managers, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to standardize policies and procedures.
  • Recommend adjustments and updates to ensure adherence to John Muir Policies.
  • Promote quality patient care in infusion and medical oncology clinics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Required
  • 5 years of Nursing Leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager - Required
  • 3-7 years of Medical Oncology Nursing experience - Required
  • RN Registered Nursing License - California Board of Nursing - Required
  • BLS Basic Life Support Certification - Required
  • ONS / ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certificate - Required or obtained within the first 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Oncology Certified Nurse - Preferred
  • Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center - Preferred within 2 years of hire.
