About The Position

Onsite Women's Health (OWH) is a leading provider of in-office breast health and imaging services, aiming to improve women's healthcare. OWH partners with providers nationwide to offer comprehensive in-office breast health and imaging services, featuring a strong 3D screening mammography platform with AI for cancer detection. The role emphasizes convenience to improve breast cancer screening compliance, offering mammography and breast care services within primary care or OBGYN practices, scheduled alongside annual exams. This position offers a Monday-Friday work schedule, the opportunity to work independently with ownership of patient care, and the use of the latest 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography equipment in an OB/Gyn office environment.

Requirements

  • ARRT required
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience
  • Must maintain CME's as required by State and or National accreditation bodies
  • Self-starter who can work without daily supervision
  • Hold a valid state license if applicable
  • Must be very patient centric, compassionate and computer savvy
  • Able to perform a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
  • Flexible with the ability to multi-task
  • Mammography: 2 years (Required)
  • License: ARRT (Required)

  • Strongly prefer dual-registered technologist: mammography and breast ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Perform Digital Mammography and ABUS of the breast to produce high-quality images for diagnostic cancer screening.
  • Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
  • Be responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice.
  • Assist the practice in ensuring all eligible age-appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms.
  • Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
  • Position mammographic equipment, adjust controls, and set exposure factors based on knowledge of techniques and protocols.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices and patient shielding.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
  • Examine digital images for quality and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
  • Perform all required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and State requirements/regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Process routine paperwork and perform all required data entry.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  • Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements.
