About the position

AFC (Automotive Finance Corporation) is seeking a Major Dealer Account Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for servicing and enhancing relationships with our major dealer accounts. The successful candidate will leverage their experience in customer service and account management to streamline business processes, collaborate with team members, and analyze trends and metrics to mitigate risk. The position requires a detail-oriented, adaptable, and organized individual who can ensure accuracy and compliance in floorplanning while maintaining effective communication with dealers regarding their account status and resolving any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Make funding determinations based on daily dealer account usage across multiple data points.
  • Communicate to the dealer current account status and provide resolutions to any issues encountered.
  • Possess authority to approve or deny floorings based on an accounts business model or when risk is identified.
  • Analyze account trends.
  • Effectively promote other OPENLANE businesses' products and services to customers.
  • Understand and operate within compliance of all applicable laws and codes for the assigned geographic area.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a collections role/environment.
  • Familiarity with concepts, procedures, and processes typically used in the automotive and financial services industries.
  • Experience using Customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Strong organizational, clerical, oral, and written language skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience handling vehicle titles.
  • Account management experience in the automotive industry.
