About The Position
Chicago Behavioral Hospital (CBH) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker to join their team in Des Plaines, IL. This full-time position involves performing a variety of tasks related to building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, testing and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance, and janitorial duties, with minimal supervision. CBH is a 147-bed inpatient facility and a leading provider of therapeutic care, prioritizing patient comfort and safety, and also offers an outpatient partial hospitalization program. They are committed to accessible care.
Requirements
- Experience operating various hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions preferred.
- Experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering preferred.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Two years of technical or trade school preferred
