About the position
The Maintenance Worker at Alaris Health at Hamilton Park is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the facility and grounds are kept in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This role involves handling tools and equipment safely, making minor repairs, and being on call to address maintenance needs as they arise, all while providing high-quality service to residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Maintain building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Repair basic functions of the Center as determined by the maintenance director.
- Handle tools and equipment in a responsible and safe manner.
- Make minor repairs on all Center equipment.
- Stock supplies as needed.
- Remain on call for 24 hours a day when assigned.
- Ensure that residents and families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to positively interact with residents, government agencies, and the general public.
