About The Position

The Tool Room Technician will be responsible for the overall organization of the Maintenance Tool Room, to include inventory, parts ordering, shipping/receiving, maintaining spreadsheets, and other duties as required to ensure the plant always has the tools/parts necessary for production.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work well with others – including the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships.
  • Self-motivated and initiative to follow through.
  • Great organizational skills with attention to detail a must.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and be proficient in Outlook and Excel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a parts inventory role preferred.
  • Inventory Management Software experience (i.e. CMMS)

Responsibilities

  • Daily checks for tools/supplies that must be in stock.
  • Count and verify parts against supplier packing slips and review for damage.
  • Update information to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receiving of all shipments into our inventory, maintaining inventory logs, placing parts in bins/shelves within tool room and other designated areas, in their correct location to ensure ease of access when needed.
  • Maintain safety PPE vending access and supplies for employee usage.
  • Maintain great working relationships with all suppliers and be mindful of lead times when ordering parts to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • General maintenance around changing filters and other tasks as assigned by leadership.
