About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Wallick Communities is responsible for performing general maintenance duties across various communities, ensuring that residents' needs are met and homes are maintained to high standards. This role involves responding to work orders, performing emergency maintenance, and maintaining certifications as required. The technician will work closely with the community leader to ensure timely and effective maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Complete various work orders for site maintenance projects as directed by the Community leader.
• Complete unit turns as directed by the Community leader.
• Timely completion of work orders within the community, documenting detailed completion notes in the work order tracking system.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests within the district, including on-call rotation and support at other area communities as needed.
• Maintain specific levels of certification as required for the position.
• Maintain the communities within the district to Company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of prior maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing and/or electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Understanding of maintenance and repair processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to balance and organize multiple priorities.
• Adaptable and flexible problem solver.
