Responsibilities

Perform skilled maintenance and repair work on hospital equipment, machinery, and building systems to support safe and reliable operations
Assist with hospital grounds upkeep and operate light trucks to pick up and deliver items within the local area
Complete journeyman-level maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and facility systems
Work from diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications to complete tasks accurately
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments
Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems
Review maintenance schedules and help assign work requests to ensure timely completion
Provide general maintenance support across electrical, plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems
Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced maintenance staff when needed
Assist with painting and touch-up work, including in sterile or sensitive environments, as required
