About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production machines and foundry equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment. The technician will also be involved in scheduled maintenance tasks and must comply with safety regulations while maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on production machines and foundry equipment.
• Provide emergency repairs to return production equipment to safe operation.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance during regular service intervals and semi-annual shutdowns.
• Perform simple machinist duties as required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make necessary adjustments.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and production maintenance experience.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills; HVAC experience preferred.
• Experience with induction furnaces is preferred.
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting are a plus.
• Prior experience working with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
