About the position

Techo Bloc is on the hunt for their next industrial maintenance technician (electro-mechanic). Our technicians are highly proficient in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and welding. The position is based in Douglassville, PA, with a shift from Saturday to Tuesday, 5pm to 5am. Pay ranges from $33 to $40 per hour, depending on experience, with additional shift differentials on weekends and Mondays/Tuesdays.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.
  • Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, valves, solenoids and pumps.
  • Identify and make hydraulic hoses as needed.
  • Perform advanced welding and fabrication skills in various positions and locations.
  • Operate band saws, torch, drill presses, grinders and other shop tools.
  • Install new equipment and align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues.
  • Properly size components and cabling for new electrical systems.
  • Read and understand wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits.
  • Familiar with troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, Allen Bradley, AB.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
  • Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans.
  • Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience working in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance or relevant field.
  • Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery.
  • Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts.
  • Previous experience with stick and MIG welding.
  • Proficient electrical skills and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems.
  • Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment.
  • Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
