About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I role is foundational to the maintenance team, supporting property upkeep, completing routine repairs, and building essential trade skills for advancement within multifamily maintenance. This position is responsible for property care and basic maintenance, including maintaining grounds and common areas, completing routine service requests and make-ready tasks, and performing minor repairs and paint touch-ups. The role also involves operational support, assisting with inspections, preventative maintenance, seasonal preparation, and storm response, while maintaining clean work and storage areas. Additionally, the technician will respond to on-call and emergency service requests, adhering to all company safety protocols and maintaining a basic personal tool kit. Required training and compliance courses must also be completed. This role may include additional duties consistent with the position.

Requirements

• 1+ year maintenance or porter experience (multifamily preferred).
• Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs.
• Understanding chemical safety procedures.
• Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
