About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Corteva Agriscience plays a crucial role in overseeing all maintenance activities at the Utica, IL production facility. This position is integral to the site leadership team, responsible for leading a team of maintenance mechanics and electricians, ensuring the execution of maintenance tasks, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and ensure proper execution of all maintenance related activity at the site, including regular and preventative maintenance, capital projects and reliability improvements.
  • Ensure completion and updating of appropriate records, documents, and/or reports.
  • Implement and monitor maintenance KPI's to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and work with other key personnel to establish capital plans and related details to promote the plans.
  • Lead assigned team to ensure resources and labor needs are met year-round.
  • Coach and develop direct reports to top performance and maintain a cohesive positive work environment.
  • Plan and maintain facility maintenance budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Industrial maintenance experience and/or experience in leading large scale capital projects.
  • 1 year of leadership experience (i.e. program/process lead, supervisory experience, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solutions oriented.
  • Good organization, prioritization and time-management ability to drive projects to on time completion.
  • Adherence to health and safety standards and protocols.
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Willingness to work primarily daytime scheduled with extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience with a CMMS system such as SAP.
  • Experience with PowerBI.
  • LEAN/SMED, Six Sigma experience.
  • Familiarity with PLC Programming.
  • Electrical and mechanical knowledge.
