About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Lynd Management Group, LLC is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team to ensure the repair and upkeep of property facilities and apartment units. This role involves managing service requests, maintaining market-ready apartments, and ensuring the overall appearance of the property meets standards. The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Property Manager and plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of the living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing market-ready apartments including painting, flooring, and general repairs.
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders and make-ready units.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance work.
  • Monitor and maintain the property’s preventative maintenance schedule and mechanical equipment upkeep.
  • Perform regular inspections of units and common areas, ensuring repairs and landscaping are completed.
  • Respond to resident service requests, prioritizing and assigning tasks to maintenance staff.
  • Complete maintenance work order paperwork and communicate status with the Leasing Office.
  • Perform on-call emergency service requests as needed and communicate hours worked to the Property Manager.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies, reordering as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations in property management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance and mechanical repair.
  • EPA Type III or Universal license and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) required.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, cabinetry, carpeting, pools, and appliance repair.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws concerning multi-family housing and Fair Housing.
  • Basic computer/technical skills for mobile computing and communication devices.
