About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Inalfa Roof Systems is responsible for supervising and coordinating the maintenance team to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of equipment, structures, and utility systems within the manufacturing plant. This role involves collaboration with the Engineering department to develop solutions that enhance manufacturing processes and support engineering change activities. The supervisor will also focus on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machinery and processes, ensuring adherence to IATF 16949 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the maintenance team.
  • Support engineering change activities impacting the manufacturing process.
  • Perform line balancing and labor evaluation activities.
  • Support all IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Design electrical/control-wiring schematics on CAD system.
  • Design control logic and control schematics.
  • Design ladder logic and relay logic.
  • Layout detailing and subassembly op panels.
  • Bill of material and selection of components.
  • System interfacing, power calculation, and sizing of cable wires.
  • Testing, start-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Support upgrading current assembly lines and machinery to improve process control.
  • Data collection, start-up/setting instructions, and database development.
  • Support engineering department in development of control units for sunroofs.
  • Enhance knowledge of electronics/control systems within IRS/USA.
  • Support MIS department on industrial computers and associated hardware.
  • Programming, debugging, and start-up of new automated assembly machinery and robots.
  • Write/change documentation for start-up/setting calibration of machinery.
  • Implement continuous improvement actions (Kaizen) to optimize processes.
  • Support maintenance department in troubleshooting and solving machine breakdowns.
  • Communicate with internal functions, suppliers, and customers.
  • Champion manufacturing cost reduction activities, including labor reduction initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Automated Manufacturing Engineering discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in automation projects for the manufacturing industry, preferably automotive and robot projects.
  • Good analyzing skills for troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
  • Sound knowledge of automation techniques, machine control systems, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics, and computer programming.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good PLC programming skills, especially with Allen Bradley (SLC 5, Panelview 900/1200).
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic and AutoCAD preferred.
