Maintenance Specialist

About the position

As a Maintenance Specialist at XPO, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment in one or more assigned areas. You will maintain records of installation, maintenance, and repair orders to track activities ensuring work is documented. The role requires you to use various hand tools, electronic tools, and measuring devices, respond to emergencies and callouts as required, and make necessary repairs timely. You will also operate specialized equipment and vehicles, collaborate with and support other functional areas of the facility, and demonstrate the Company's core values while complying with all Company policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment in one or more assigned areas
• Maintain records of installation, maintenance and repair orders to track activities ensuring work is documented
• Use various hand tools, electronic tools and measuring devices
• Respond to emergencies and callouts as required; make necessary repairs timely
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles
• Collaborate with and support other functional areas of the facility
• Demonstrate the Company's core values and comply with all Company policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent experience in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical trades
• Able to interpret preventive maintenance schedules
• Able to interpret parts breakdowns and schematics
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical tools
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
• Strong time management skills

Nice-to-haves

• At least one year of apprenticeship in electrical, HVAC or plumbing
• Ability to operate specialized equipment - i.e., bandsaws, drill presses, forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
