About the position

The Maintenance Production Line Technician at Conagra Brands is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues at the Indianapolis manufacturing plant. This role involves working on a night shift schedule, specifically 4 days on and 4 days off, with 12-hour shifts. The technician will repair and maintain various production machines and systems, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, replace, repair, adjust and modify mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Read, use, and update shop prints and manufacturer's manuals for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems.
  • Follow all plant and corporate safety and food safety procedures.
  • Create and close out work orders and add specs info to SAP system.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two+ years prior maintenance experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic, in a production environment or two-year technical degree.
  • Knowledge of drive train - belts, pulleys, sprockets and chain
  • Knowledge of electrical - 110 single phase and 480 & 230 v 3 phase
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic programming changes
  • Knowledge of motor control circuits
  • Knowledge of hydraulic - motors, pumps, valves
  • Knowledge of pneumatics - air valves and controls
  • Ability to work 4x4 schedule, 12-hour shifts and overtime.
  • Ability to teach, learn from, and work well with others and attend continued education courses.
