About The Position

The Electrical Planner and Scheduler is responsible for improving plant reliability, safety, and cost control through the effective planning and scheduling of non‑reactive electrical maintenance work. This role leverages strong industrial electrical knowledge to develop job plans, labor and material estimates, and make independent decisions that minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). In addition, the position provides planning and scheduling support for Central Construction projects as capacity allows, ensuring maintenance and construction activities are integrated to minimize operational impact.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required
  • Electrical Journey License preferred
  • Previous experience in planning and estimating is preferred
  • Previous experience with CMMS software (SAP experience preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Improve maintenance work output and safety through planning and scheduling of non-reactive electrical work.
  • Develop job plans, labor estimates, and material requirements for electrical maintenance and capital work.
  • Make independent decisions that minimize plant downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Support plant maintenance activities while balancing reactive and planned work.
  • Determine job start dates based on priority, labor availability, and material lead times.
  • Evaluate maintenance risk and work selection to minimize production impact and improve.
  • Review incoming and backlog work volumes to determine contractor resource needs.
  • Provide planning and scheduling support for Central Construction projects as capacity allows.
  • Coordinate with Central Construction leadership, project managers, and engineering teams.
  • Integrate construction activities into plant schedules to minimize operational impact.
  • Lead and reinforce a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, plant standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate hazards to achieve zero incident performance.
  • Ensure all skilled trades work meets quality, reliability, and workmanship standards.
  • Support standard work, preventive maintenance, and root cause problem-solving efforts.
  • Plan and execute maintenance and project work to meet production schedules and operational commitments.
  • Effectively balance reactive and planned work to maintain responsiveness and schedule stability.
  • Demonstrate strong financial stewardship.
  • Manage labor, overtime, contractors, materials, and equipment to control maintenance spending.
  • Other duties as assigned by Kohler leadership.
