About the position

The position is responsible for the technical and clerical work involved in maintaining the maintenance storeroom, which includes equipment, tools, parts, materials, and other inventory supplies. The role requires continuous maintenance of inventory and supplies, ensuring accurate records of all dispersals and returns. The individual will initiate purchase requisitions to replenish supplies, maintain an inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and related supplies, and receive shipments while examining articles for quantity and quality. Additionally, the position involves maintaining up-to-date supplier records, contact information, and product pricing, as well as storing supplies and assisting maintenance personnel in record upkeep. Financial reporting to ensure project spending remains within budget is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory, supplies, equipment, tools, parts, and materials, ensuring accurate records of all dispersals and returns.
• Initiate purchase requisitions to replenish supplies and maintain an inventory of maintenance parts and tools.
• Receive shipments of supplies and examine articles for quantity and quality.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier records, contact information, and product pricing.
• Store supplies and deliver them to their proper destinations.
• Assist maintenance personnel in the upkeep of records for accuracy and consistency.
• Report financial data to ensure project spending remains within budget.
• Receive and generate work orders in the software system.
• Identify opportunities to reduce parts storage and working capital.
• Reduce losses by identifying root cause issues of cycle count errors.
• Report accuracy, days of inventory, and obsoletes along with actions to correct variances to target.
• Analyze Material Master Data Tracking System's Min/Max ratios and align with line consumption and lead time for projects and PMs.
• Execute requisitions for POs when Min stock levels are reached.
• Research vendors to obtain quotes and parts attainment.
• Follow established purchase order processes and obtain required approvals, providing AP with associated invoices.
• Track and verify all parts are delivered correctly and on time, maintaining up-to-date tracking for parts received.
• Uphold stockroom parts and labels.
• Provide monthly trending reports to the manager.
• Conduct routine cycle counts of parts to ensure database accuracy.
• Ensure consistency of parts descriptions in EAM and other associated software systems.
• Kit parts for upcoming PMs and projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years CMMS experience.
• Experience with predictive/preventative PM design, creation, modification, and analysis.
• Competency with Microsoft Office Applications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes desired.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a friendly, productive environment.
• Can-do and will-do attitude is vital.
• Excellent training skills for others.
• Broad knowledge and experience with Infor EAM CMMS software.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to initiate tasks without direction.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment, tools, parts, and materials.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to storeroom operations.
• Knowledge of computerized and manual systems of inventory control and management.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting at times.
• Ability to prepare and maintain inventory records and reports.
• Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
