About the position

Twinplex is a full service, high skill, capital intensive, custom deep draw metal stamping company located in Wood Dale, Illinois. Twinplex aspires to be recognized by our customers as their single source of cost-effective, high quality deep drawn metal components. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot metal stamping and parts cleaning equipment
• Interact with vendor technical support
• Perform preventative maintenance along with other duties as directed
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical & basic electrical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility
• Oversee Preventative Maintenance program on machines and equipment
• Enter data into maintenance system timely and accurately
• Perform weekly safety check of production equipment and building
• Operate a forklift truck
• Assist in supervising the housekeeping of the building and grounds
• Perform on-demand duties for the repair of production equipment and building
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other duties as directed

Requirements

• Requires a High School diploma or a G.E.D.
• Technical Degree or Related Experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in operating and maintaining production equipment
• Preferred Metal Stamping Manufacturing environment
• Must be able to read work instructions, machine manuals and blue prints
• Computer skills and effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential
• Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges and precision measuring instruments used for press lubrication
• Must be able to speak and read & write English
• Must be able to hear well enough to respond to verbal requests in the working environment
• Basic shop math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
