About the position
Fleet Laboratories is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Leader on 3rd Shift. This position requires electrical experience and involves applying technical skills and judgment to maintain and improve operational equipment and the physical facility in a safe and quality-conscious manner. The role includes a variety of troubleshooting skills and responsibilities such as substituting for the Maintenance Supervisor, attending meetings, and ensuring task completion. The Maintenance Mechanic Leader will perform preventative maintenance and repair work on electromechanical devices, machinery, PLCs, instrumentation, HVAC, and more, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment according to GMPs.
Responsibilities
- Issue maintenance work orders for all tasks identified during shift.
- Point of contact for all maintenance calls.
- Dispatch all of the maintenance calls.
- Perform maintenance call during maintenance mechanic unavailability.
- Provide support to the maintenance mechanic if the trouble call is longer than 15 minutes or if needed.
- Make decision for problem resolution and request assistance, if necessary.
- Check and follow-up on assigned tasks for accurate completion.
- Familiarize with the shift OEE performance and report critical issues to the shift supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Requires the knowledge gained through a high school degree or the equivalent, and completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equal training.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
