Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Conduct daily systems inspections of mechanical and electrical components.
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine need for adjustment or repair.
- Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment including sorters and conveyors.
- Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment and report any problems.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system to monitor and document equipment usage.
- Dismantle machines to examine parts for defects and replace or repair defective parts.
- Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance on facility including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report safety concerns.
- Remove dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years direct experience in maintenance.
- Commercial or industrial maintenance related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
- Resourceful self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
