About The Position

Vallourec is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a demonstrated work history of continuous improvement and a focus on keeping production machinery running. This role involves developing and enforcing maintenance strategies and processes for equipment and facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, engineering, building maintenance, welding, and fabrication, while prioritizing safety for employees, the community, and the environment. The position leads the strategic direction and day-to-day performance of the maintenance organization, overseeing planning, budget management, and work execution for reliable and efficient facility operations. Key responsibilities include facility inspection, hiring and developing maintenance professionals, procuring parts and equipment, and documenting activities in SAP. The role involves assigning and prioritizing work, coordinating with contractors, and developing maintenance schedules to support operational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline
  • 10 years of maintenance/technical/manufacturing experience overall preferred
  • SAP PM experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and a strong sense of urgency in delivering results
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adjust quickly, and execute with minimal oversight
  • Collaborative leadership style that builds trust, encourages teamwork, and fosters continuous improvement
  • Skilled at influencing others using data, facts, and sound judgment
  • Ability to lead change, challenge the status quo, and drive innovative, cost-effective solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Experience developing and executing action plans that drive measurable results
  • Solid technical understanding of equipment, systems, and maintenance operations, including reliability practices and methodologies (e.g., RCA, RCM, predictive maintenance)
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals (mechanical, electrical, utilities) and equipment design/maintainability
  • Experience with project management principles including planning, cost control, scope definition, and risk assessment
  • Familiarity with construction practices, regulatory compliance, and technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing/operations environments, including lean principles (5S, standard work, value stream mapping) and GMPs
