About the position
The Maintenance Manager at Virginia Linen Service Inc. is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the plant maintenance operations within a dynamic and growing company. The position requires a strong focus on preventative maintenance programs, team management, and effective communication across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in maintenance engineering and leadership, ensuring the safety and efficiency of plant systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance program
- Work with other associates in a team to accomplish goals
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
- Assist in other areas and/or departments as needed
- Supervision of front line maintenance personnel
- Train and develop existing and new maintenance staff
- Design, plan, install, and maintain plant systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of plant maintenance experience
- Leadership experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Associate's degree in Engineering or related field or sufficient experience
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience with boilers, air compressors, welding, piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuitry, and PLCs
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with air cylinders, solenoid valves, steam traps, motor starters, gear reducers, inverter drives, or industrial laundry equipment
