About the position
The Maintenance Leader at Gia-Pacific Dixie Consumer Products Operations is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and coaching to the maintenance department at the Fort Smith facility. This position focuses on driving continuous improvement in process reliability, product quality, and operating costs while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The Maintenance Leader will lead a team of approximately 30 employees, overseeing preventative maintenance programs and technical support to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop key business relationships and be a strategic part of the facility leadership team.
- Partner closely with the Operations Manager to advance facility priorities and achieve results.
- Accountable for employee and organizational development plans and people management strategies.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a team of salaried and hourly employees to continuously improve performance.
- Demonstrate functional leadership skills to engage a diverse workforce.
- Ensure the facility's electrical and mechanical systems operate reliably, efficiently, and comply with safety guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
- Experience supervising and developing people leaders within an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment.
- Experience with maintenance planning processes and software.
- Experience developing asset strategy plans for rotating equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working within a converting or paper converting operation.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline.
