About the position
The Maintenance Foreman at Constellation Energy is a first-level leader responsible for overseeing craft operations within the EIS Mobile organization. This role involves coordinating with other foremen, ensuring safe and reliable operations, and developing employees' skills while maintaining craft qualifications. The foreman will also be involved in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communicating effectively with team members and management to support the company's goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with other Foremen and shifts to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Support the company's core values and exhibit positive leadership behaviors.
- Direct the work of employees to meet safety and productivity goals.
- Assist in the development and execution of work schedules and tasks.
- Ensure employees perform their duties with customer awareness and concern.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communicate efficiently with employees, other Foremen, and management.
- Develop assigned employees' skill sets on the job.
- Coach new and existing employees in processes, procedures, and practices.
- Make recommendations for performance improvement.
- Participate in the company's formal performance evaluation process.
- Perform activities qualified in lower classification positions as needed.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field OR High School Diploma with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or related field.
- 4 years of experience as an EIS technician demonstrating strong technical knowledge and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with attention to safety, schedules, and efficient use of equipment.
- Ability to obtain unescorted Nuclear plant access.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
