About the position

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing maintenance operations within facilities, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong background in maintenance management, particularly in industrial settings, along with mechanical knowledge and effective supervision of maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of facilities and equipment.
• Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identifying areas that require repair or improvement.
• Track, maintain, and allocate parts on inventory check out sheets using ERP system and/or spreadsheets.
• Maintain records both hard copy and electronic of packing lists, checkout sheets, inventory count reports, etc.
• Process receiving as appropriate and locate goods in designated receiving areas.
• Receive materials in the ERP system and tag materials as required.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for ongoing operations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years inventory experience or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• 7 years of experience in maintenance management.
• 6 years of experience with JD Edwards.
• 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• 9 years of mechanical knowledge and skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in facility operations is preferred.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
