About the position
Volt is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Northfield, MN. This full-time position involves operating automated equipment, monitoring production quality, and performing maintenance tasks. The role offers a temperature-controlled environment and the potential for temp-to-hire after 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Review production schedules and specifications for automated equipment operation.
- Monitor the operation of automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
- Inspect quality levels of production on automated equipment.
- Record data for statistical process control or inventory management.
- Perform preventive maintenance on automated equipment at specified intervals.
- Execute sequential shutdown and clean automated equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Attendance and punctuality.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions.
- Prior experience with forklift/pallet jack and other motorized equipment preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Machine Operator.
- Experience with slitting and mixing machines.
- Prior use of food mixing machines.
