About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of fabrication equipment to produce high-quality parts in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. This role plays a key part in meeting production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret work orders, part programs, and blueprints
  • Proficiency in performing complete machine setups, including program verification, tooling selection, and material matching
  • Understanding and application of proper die clearance and forming techniques
  • Experience loading and positioning various materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Skill in measuring finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
  • Ability to make setup adjustments to maintain accuracy
  • Accurate documentation of production data on routing and inspection sheets
  • Experience operating Forklifts and overhead cranes in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Ability to identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, or process deviations
  • Adherence to all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Safely set up, operate, and monitor fabrication equipment, including: Amada Turret Punch Press, Trumpf 3040 Laser, Wysong Shear, Amada Press Brake, Water Jet and Plasma Cutting systems
  • Interpret work orders, part programs, and blueprints to ensure proper machine setup and tooling selection
  • Perform complete machine setups, including program verification, tooling selection, and material matching
  • Understand and apply proper die clearance and forming techniques
  • Load and position various materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Measure finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers; make setup adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy
  • Accurately document production data on routing and inspection sheets
  • Operate Forklifts and overhead cranes in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to support workflow and production efficiency
  • Identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, or process deviations to the Department Lead, Production Supervisor, or Quality Control
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards at all times
