About the position

The Machine Operator will safely operate various machines and equipment involved in production during the second shift. This role is essential for ensuring the production of high-quality parts while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
• Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Troubleshoots machines to determine cause of non-conforming products.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Performs all paperwork with accuracy.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Packs product as needed and assists other operators and packers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
• Strong mathematical skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
