About The Position

Agri-Mark, a dairy cooperative with over 100 years of history, is seeking a regular, full-time Butter Machine Operator for its 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). This entry-level position offers a competitive base pay range of $27.02/hr. - $29.08/hr., plus a 7% evening differential. Employees are eligible for rate increases every six months for the first 18 months and have ample opportunities for advancement within the company. Requirements

  • Ability to operate butter packaging equipment.
  • Ability to maintain facility in a sanitary manner.
  • Ability to restock butter packaging materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot butter packaging equipment.
  • Ability to make machine adjustments.
  • Ability to operate and set printers.
  • Ability to ensure proper packaging is used.
  • Ability to complete and record necessary information on logs accurately.
  • Schedule flexibility, including willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate butter packaging equipment in an efficient and sanitary manner.
  • Follow and understand the production schedule.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary manner, including Clean-in-Place (CIP) washing of equipment and cleaning of walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Restock butter packaging materials to meet production needs and maintain materials in an appropriate, orderly fashion.
  • Operate, understand, and troubleshoot butter packaging equipment, including processing machinery and case packaging equipment.
  • Perform machine adjustments to meet required specifications.
  • Operate and set printers to ensure that U.S.D.A.# and “Sell By” dates are correct.
  • Ensure that proper packaging is used for each production item.
  • Complete and record necessary information on proper logs legibly, verifying that all required documents are filled out properly and are accurate in accordance with Safety and SQF procedures.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays and rotate shifts, as required based on business needs.
