About The Position

This position is for a Machine Operator 1 in Ceramic Coat at RTX, a global leader in aerospace and defense. The role involves operating a variety of production machines, with on-the-job training to become proficient and certified in specific auxiliary equipment standard work groups. The operator will perform routine operations on the production line, producing blades and/or vanes, and conducting quality checks. This role requires shift work, the ability to work overtime when needed, and adherence to standard work and work instructions. Responsibilities include performing daily standard work, complex operations, clocking labor in Solumina, performing and documenting Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), and maintaining a clean work area (5S). Tasks may extend beyond those listed to support department objectives and skill development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience or education or Advanced Manufacturing Certification

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of production machines.
  • Train on the job to become proficient and certified in performing operations in at least 2 auxiliary equipment standard work groups (e.g., Bake/Grit; PHT; Pinhole Check and Surface Roughness Analyzer).
  • Perform routine operations on the production line.
  • Produce blades and/or vanes.
  • Perform all quality checks.
  • Perform daily standard work and complex operations successfully.
  • Adhere to standard work and all work instructions while performing tasks.
  • Clock labor in Solumina.
  • Perform Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean (5S).
  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.
