About The Position

This position is for a Machine Operator 1 in Ceramic Coat, specifically on the AWW1 Weekend Day Shift. The role involves operating a variety of production machines and training to become proficient in performing operations in at least two auxiliary equipment standard work groups. The operator will produce blades and/or vanes, perform all quality checks, and adhere to standard work and work instructions. This role requires shift work and the ability to work overtime when needed. Responsibilities include clocking labor in Solumina, performing Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and documenting results, and keeping equipment and work area clean (5S). Tasks may be assigned outside of the listed duties to support department objectives and skill development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience or education or Advanced Manufacturing Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of production machines.
  • Train to become proficient and certified in performing operations in at least 2 auxiliary equipment standard work groups (e.g., Bake/Grit; PHT; Pinhole Check and Surface Roughness Analyzer).
  • Perform routine operations.
  • Produce blades and/or vanes.
  • Perform all quality checks.
  • Perform daily standard work and complex operations successfully.
  • Adhere to standard work and all work instructions.
  • Clock labor in Solumina.
  • Perform Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean (5S).
  • Carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.
