Responsibilities

  • Build and evaluate a DNN from scratch, optimizing model size and architecture for given data and prediction targets.
  • Evaluate ML models grounded in statistics and measurement/decision science, understanding precision, NPV, Recall/Sensitivity, Specificity, and their tradeoffs.
  • Fine-tune LLMs and multi-modal models using supervised and reinforcement learning.
  • Design reward functions or graders for Reinforcement Fine-Tuning, especially with LLMs.
  • Build AI agents using agentic frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen, creating end-to-end agentic AI applications.
  • Maintain reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms including CI/CD, DRI, and on-call practices.
  • Proactively seek help, iterate, and evolve in a changing product landscape.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building production ML engineering systems in a team setting.
  • 1+ years of experience working on modern cloud-native platforms and languages (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong understanding and experience of fundamentals of machine learning through coursework and/or prior job experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing self-improving AI agents.
  • Familiarity with crafting modular APIs and building engaging and intuitive web experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of publishing in leading AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL).
  • Experience optimizing GPU usage for model training and inference.
  • Familiarity with the latest agentic tools, frameworks, and standards (e.g., MCP, A2A).
