Responsibilities
- Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable laws.
- Perform patient care functions considering age-related needs as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist medical personnel with special procedures and minor surgical procedures.
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions and notify healthcare professionals for further action.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician orders.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, identifying and arranging for repairs as needed.
- Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control as per guidelines.
- Monitor patient flow and direct ancillary personnel as necessary.
- Provide medical information and education to patients following established protocols.
- Document patient information and nursing procedures accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience as a LVN in an acute/outpatient setting.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support certification.
