About the position
The LTS Science Teacher position at Upper Perkiomen School District is a long-term substitute role focused on providing quality science instruction to middle school students in grades 6 and 7. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, managing classroom behavior, and communicating with parents regarding student progress. This position is expected to last approximately six weeks, with the start date to be determined.
Responsibilities
- Provide Science instruction to Middle School students (Grades 6 and 7)
- Communicate with parents about students' progress
- Create an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals
- Plan, develop, write, and implement curriculum and educational programs
- Manage student behavior to encourage the best possible educational experience
- Evaluate students' academic growth and keep appropriate records
- Prepare progress reports for students
Requirements
- PDE Middle Level and/or Secondary Science Teaching Certification
