About the position

The LPN/LVN position at CenterWell involves assessing patient health problems and needs, taking vital signs, administering medication, and maintaining medical records. The role requires collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality patient care while also providing education and compliance assistance. The LPN/LVN will work in multiple clinical settings, supporting the Middle TN market, and will be responsible for training new Medical Assistants and reinforcing best practice protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs.
• Take vital signs and record patient medical histories.
• Administer medications and maintain medical records.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist in training new hire Medical Assistants.
• Perform routine tests and screenings such as blood draws and EKGs.
• Schedule and assist with external routine screening and diagnostic tests.
• Counsel patients on medication adherence and special diets.
• Provide wound care and change dressings.
• Sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.

Requirements

• Current licensure as an LPN or LVN.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong clinical background.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt and work in multiple clinical settings.
• Experience in a fast-paced/high-volume environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years clinical experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Knowledge of primary care medicine requirements (state specific).
• Working knowledge of clinical operations.
