Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs nursing care and assists with planning and implementing care for the comfort and well-being of the patient/resident. LPNs scope of practice is dependent and directed, requiring assignment or delegation by and performance under the supervision, orders, or directions of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, dentist, or other licensed independent practitioner. The LPN participates in the assessment of patients/residents, supports ongoing data collection and determines who to inform of the information and when to inform them. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment, performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner, and assures patient's/resident's safety. Provides care in a holistic approach. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients/residents served. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Essential Functions: Perform care as defined by client's individual Plan of Care developed by supervising Registered Nurse and within scope of state's nurse practice act. Monitor patient's condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes and report to supervising Registered Nurse. Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill. Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws. Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. Cases will vary on students' needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted LPN license in NC or compact state.
  • 1 year experience in nursing.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
  • Reliable car.
  • Clean background and criminal record.
