About the position
The Lowboy Driver position involves transporting construction equipment to various customer locations, ensuring safe loading and unloading of oversized loads, and maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. The role requires a valid CDL A license and a minimum of one year of experience in hauling heavy construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Drive Tractor/Lowboy Trailer to customer locations for pickups, deliveries, and branch transfers of construction equipment.
- Properly and safely load and unload equipment on and off of delivery vehicle.
- Maintain a safe driving record at all times.
- Ensure compliance with necessary permits for oversized loads.
- Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) log book in 100% compliance.
- Complete Drivers Daily Inspection Reports at the end of each shift.
- Report all maintenance and repairs needed to the dispatch supervisor before arranging work on the truck/trailer.
- Turn in all driver logs and pretrips to Dispatch supervisor weekly.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license is required.
- Minimum of 1 year hauling heavy construction equipment experience.
