About the position

We are currently seeking a qualified Low voltage electrical professionals to install, maintain, and service low voltage wiring systems such as security systems, camera systems, intercom systems, and fire alarms. At MACK Fire, low voltage technicians will work within the field of installation, test/troubleshoot, repair, and maintaining electronic systems that are part of both commercial and private building structures. LV technicians will often conduct preventative maintenance inspections and initiate work orders to repair deficiencies. LV technicians will also perform inspections of new construction and renovation projects post installation. Alongside regular duties such as installation and service, LV Technicians will perform programming, data backup, and restoration functions for electronic systems. LV Technicians will maintain and update drawings/documentation pre and post installation with the design Team. LV technicians will support MACK Fire's efforts to be efficient and mindful of project costs. LV technicians will be the face of the company and the role of supporting customer satisfaction is an essential component of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and service low voltage wiring systems such as security systems, camera systems, intercom systems, and fire alarms.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and initiate work orders to repair deficiencies.
  • Perform inspections of new construction and renovation projects post installation.
  • Perform programming, data backup, and restoration functions for electronic systems.
  • Maintain and update drawings/documentation pre and post installation with the design Team.
  • Support MACK Fire's efforts to be efficient and mindful of project costs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction as a key component of the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with fire alarm installation and troubleshooting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of installation and programming.
  • Self-motivated with little or no supervision required.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with contractors and internal staff.
  • Knowledge of various types of fire alarm systems.
  • Possess L6 or L5 / C6 or C5 license & OSHA 10 required.
  • Ability to complete fire alarm reviews and identify code compliance issues.
  • Construction site experience required.
