About the position

The Low Voltage Systems Assistant Project Manager at ARK Systems is responsible for supporting the Lead Project Manager in executing low voltage system projects. This role involves ensuring projects adhere to budgets, code compliance, and managing the quality and productivity of the field operations team. The Assistant Project Manager will oversee all project phases, coordinate resources, and interface with customers to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight for all project phases, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment.
  • Review design drawings for conformance with regulations, project specifications, and local and national standards.
  • Project manage and coordinate installations and commissioning for assigned projects.
  • Perform field surveys.
  • Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the field operations and engineering teams.
  • Manage project schedules and manpower planning forecasts.
  • Interface with customers including contractors and end users.
  • Read and interpret project specifications and system designs on blueprints.
  • Estimate and propose change orders on projects.
  • Work in a team environment and display qualities of initiative.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience with commercial video, security and access control systems.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience as a project manager in the security industry.
  • Technical skills, including an in-depth understanding of the data and IT industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NEC code requirements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
