Position Overview: The Logistics Specialist supports Product Manager Infantry Weapons (PdM IW) sustainment and lifecycle logistics execution in Albany, GA. This role focuses on day-to-day logistics transactions, documentation, and systems execution supporting material fielding, redistribution, accountability, and audit readiness. The Logistics Specialist operates within GCSS-MC and related logistics systems to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant logistics actions. This Position is Contingent Upon Award Anticipated Start Date: June 2026 Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the Government customer.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in DoD logistics or sustainment support
  • Working knowledge of GCSS-MC or similar DoD logistics systems
  • Familiarity with MILSTRIP documentation and DoD supply processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team-based execution

Responsibilities

  • Execute routine lifecycle logistics transactions supporting infantry weapons and associated end items
  • Prepare, review, and process logistics documentation including DD 1348s, DD 1149s, DD 1150s, DD 250s, and Key Supporting Documents (KSDs)
  • Support material receipt, transfer, redistribution, and accountability actions within GCSS-MC
  • Validate National Item Numbers (NINs), unit of issue, pricing, quantities, and vendor documentation
  • Assist with MIPRs, MILSTRIP actions, and reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Coordinate with PMO, LOGCOM, and field units to verify material movements and status
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and traceability
  • Assist senior logisticians during surge events such as fielding, redistributions, and sustainment actions
  • Participate in left-seat/right-seat transition activities as required
