The Digital Modernization Group of Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics Operations Analyst to work at Joint Base Andrews. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the AFNCR ITS mission. In this mission we provide support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas are: IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Inventory Operations, and Logistics. The Logistics Operations Analyst will work with our customers, logistics team, internal task or functional staff, and support personnel to execute the AFNCR ITS Program Mission. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate will be accountable for implementing best practices to ensure streamlined and efficient logistic operations while also maintaining strict asset accountability. While part of a team environment, the Analyst will also work individually and may assist other team members on moderately complex projects, tasks, or assignments.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong working knowledge of BMC Remedy modules, especially Asset Management.
  • Must possess an active DoW Secret clearance.
  • Must be committed to customer service, well organized, able to plan and prioritize assignments, and able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional when interacting with colleges and customers.
  • Demonstrate a solid ability to identify and solve problems and be able to work successfully in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow, especially its Asset Management module.
  • Experience in the AFNCR environment with AFDW and/or HAF customers.
  • Experience with hardware logistics functions in a DoW/Military environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and suggests best practice standards to a team of 15-20 staff made up of both Leidos employees and staff augmentation subcontractors, providing recommendations to the Program Manager and Chief of Operations on team construct, position makeup, and overall resource requirements.
  • Analyses and provides process improvement recommendations for the Warehouse management function for the AFNCR contract, which supports 20K+ customers and 70K+ trackable assets across 3 main operating locations (Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Pentagon) and 27 Geographically Separated Units in a 300-mile radius around Washington DC.
  • Works with the Logistics team and Chief of Operations to ensure efficient and effective operations at 6 locations: Theater Storage Area (main warehouse on JBA), Secondary Storage Area (JBAB), Area Supply Point (JBAB), and x3 Forward Supply Points (JBA, JBAB, PNT) which house 14K+ trackable assets.
  • Reviews the scheduling processes for a fleet of delivery drivers and trucks/van supporting distribution functions (3 vehicles).
  • Guides sound processes for receiving, tagging, and tracking all receipts, including orders purchased by Leidos or directly by other supported customers. They are typically received each day, ranging from single items to large deliveries of an entire trailer full of pallets.
  • Ensures process documentation accounts for the entire asset lifecycle, including disposal processing in compliance with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and 3rd party destruction vendors requirements.
  • Develops and continuously refines a standard framework to support the supply distribution and redistribution function for the AFNCR contract, responsible for delivering equipment to customers and receiving equipment back from deployed locations, moving 20-25 pallets a day.
  • Monitors the Forward Supply Points (FSP) function for the AFNCR contract, providing process improvement recommendations to ensure forward-deployed assets are available for immediate deployment at each of the three main operation bases.
  • Ensures proper processes are in place to effectively monitor asset inventories at the warehouse and other supply points, while considering coordination requirements with field operation work centers to redistribute stock when possible and to reorder stock with sufficient lead time to avoid shortages that impact customer missions.
  • Assist the Logistics team and Chief of Operations develop monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables as required by the contract.
  • Establish, update, and train on Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Knowledge Bas Articles (KBAs) for both technicians and user information.
  • Attend and brief at weekly meetings with the government stakeholders to discuss Logistics operations and key performance indicators.
